What is your perfect day?
Early wake-up, straight into the cold plunge. No breakfast, just an array of cold-pressed juices before heading to the beach for volleyball. If time allows, I’ll swing by the farmers market on the way home for pastries, bone broth, fresh fruit, and flowers. The afternoon needs to include weights at the gym and my favorite treat—one I have every single day—dates with butter, chocolate, and sea salt (trust me, the best combination ever). In the evening, I’ll have friends over for an early dinner—I’m cooking, of course (probably steaks)—followed soon after by a concert with everyone(hopefully Polo & Pan). I'll end the evening with 25 minutes in the sauna. And that, my friends… is the perfect day.
What’s heavily played on your playlist right now?
Toro y Moi, Rhye, The Red Clay Strays, Chili Peppers, Polo & Pan, Fred again…
Who has had the biggest impact on your life, and why?
My family has undeniably shaped me into the person I am today. Each of them—my mom, dad, and sister—has influenced me in their distinct ways, and I was fortunate that their guidance balanced perfectly to shape me into who I needed to become. Of all the influences in my life, my dad has had the greatest impact. He grew up in extreme poverty in Iran and left just before the revolution, seeking a better life so he could support his mother. His life story showed me that quite literally anything is possible with focus and perseverance. He might just be the living embodiment of the saying, where there’s a will, there’s a way. His journey and mindset has always stayed with me, shaping how I approach every goal and challenge in my life.
Other than all things real estate, what are you passionate about?
Fitness, gut health, mental health, wellness, and design
What’s the most interesting place you’ve ever visited?
I would have to say Laos. I remember it being a true nature paradise. The greenery was simply greener, the people were incredibly kind, and I never used utensils when eating. Instead, I would eat with my hands, using khao niao (sticky rice) as a utensil to grab other food items, which were usually very spicy. From seeing wild gibbons and incredibly large snakes to riding my motorcycle through millions of locusts, the wildlife in Laos was truly unique. I loved their high regard for elephants, which are considered sacred and deeply embedded in Lao culture, representing the nation's strength and prosperity. Also, the weaving skills were out of this world—beautiful textiles with distinctive patterns.
Besides your actual home, what’s a place that feels like home to you?
Tokyo. I grew up in a culturally Japanese home and visited Japan multiple times a year to see my family. Although I am Asian American, I have always felt a deep connection to my Japanese culture. With my personality, it just felt so comfortable. I am proud to be American, and I am proud to be Japanese.
When do you feel most inspired?
I’ve always loved a hero’s journey. There’s something inspiring about watching others overcome adversity in their own unique ways. Lately, though, I’ve found that being in a creative state is what inspires me most. There’s nothing quite like the feeling of tapping into something imaginative, letting ideas flow, and getting lost in the process. And it’s always fun to talk about it with a friend—it's in these moments that I feel most fulfilled.
What is your superpower?
Discipline
What’s something you are proud of?
I’ve always been a go-getter and a dreamer. I love setting ambitious goals and chasing them with everything I have. I’ve made countless mistakes along the way, but I’m proud to say that I always gave it a shot and never let anything stop me from trying. I've never wanted to live with the 'what-ifs' because I've learned that those experiences truly shape who you are and force personal growth. I have learned that nobody really knows what they’re doing, but only some people do it anyway.
